Using a cutting-edge
technology program called "GemVision", Shapiro Diamonds
offers you the ability to to virtually "grow" a jewelry
piece using Computer Aided Design (CAD). This technique offers you
the ability to shape every aspect of your piece "virtually"
and participate fully in the the design process. You'll be able
to see 360 degree pictures of your ring, as it is being designed.
Together with
our skilled graphic designer, you will be able to see and make changes
to your jewelry piece prior to its creation. Because the program
utilizes the exact dimensions of the stones you select, the visual
renderings will be proportionally accurate.
Below are the C.A.D. graphic renderings of a ring we've recently
created.

Three
Stone Diamond Engagement Ring - Round with Trillions
The center diamond is a round brilliant cut diamond weighing
1.70 carats. The diamond is fine white (I) in color and slightly
imperfect two (SI2) in clarity. The diamond is Ideal Plus
Hearts and Arrows. The diamond has two trillion cut diamonds
on each side of the center stone weighing .48 carats total
weight, .24 carats each. The trillion cut diamonds match the
color and clarity of the center stone. The diamonds are set
in a custom, handmade 950 platinum setting. The ring shank
has a knife edge. The center diamond is held into place with
a four prong basket setting. The three stones cathedral slightly,
widening the ring galleries and allowing light to shine up
through the diamonds. The round and trillion cut diamond ring
is 2.18 carats total weight.
**Design
recommenced for center stones weighing .50 (half a carat)
and up.

More Virtual Designs
The
virtual renderings may appear overly heavy, thick or too
bulky. This is especially true with the prongs holding the
stones in place. Our designers must leave extra metal
for the setter to bend around the stone, securing it safely.
The extra metal is then filed away presenting a much smoother,
softer and more contoured appearance. The final piece is
significantly thinner, more dainty, and more contoured that
the rendering depicts.
